...and Ming-Ming too.

Yesterday a couple of Rob's students brought him a little mallard duckling that they found abandoned on campus. He brought it home and we tried our hardest to bring the little guy (or gal) around. We were kind of excited about raising a duck. Unfortunately, it only survived a few hours. The kids named it Ming-Ming after one of the Wonder Pets. Don't know what the Wonder Pets are? Consider yourself lucky.

After all was said and done, we are highly considering getting some mallard eggs to hatch and raise. We'll let you know how it goes!

I have a niece that found duck eggs once. She was determined to help them hatch. Long story short, the ducks started to hatch right before it was time to leave for church. She was not about the leave them alone and my sister wouldn't let her stay home. My bro-in-law's solution was that she bring the eggs with her to church in a little box. They hatched right there in the middle of sacrament meeting.

Mmmmm, Mmmmmm! Duck is tasty!, but then again there is that whole issue of eating the family pets. Besides, if you don't raise ducks, how else are you going to get rid of 50 lbs of chick feed?

This has nothing to do with the duck, but when Ches saw the picture of Parker, first he asked who it was and then he asked if that was a Transformer shirt that he was wearing - amazing - the kids can't read and half the shirt's covered up, but he knows Transformers when he sees them.

The question is, which one of the children killed it?
